Abstract

The rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs) has necessitated significant advancements in battery technology to meet the increasing demand for energy storage solutions. This paper reviews the latest developments in battery technology that are shaping the future of EVs. It discusses the evolution of battery chemistries, including lithium-ion, lithium-air, and solid-state batteries, highlighting their advantages and challenges. Additionally, the paper examines the integration of these batteries into EVs, considering factors such as energy density, power output, charge-discharge rates, and cost-effectiveness. Furthermore, it explores the potential of battery recycling and the importance of sustainable materials in reducing the environmental impact of battery production. The study concludes that while there are still challenges to overcome, the continuous progress in battery technology is poised to revolutionize the transportation industry and contribute to a greener future.
