The increasing demand for freshwater resources paired with the growing environmental concerns has necessitated the development of innovative strategies for sustainable water resource management. The integration of IoT (Internet of Things) devices presents a promising solution to address these challenges effectively. This paper explores the application of IoT technology in water resource management, focusing on the monitoring and control of water usage, detection of leaks, and the implementation of smart irrigation systems. By utilizing IoT sensors, data analytics, and automated controls, this study demonstrates how IoT can enhance the efficiency and sustainability of water management practices. The results indicate that IoT devices not only facilitate real-time surveillance of water usage patterns but also enable predictive maintenance to prevent system failures, thereby optimizing water resource allocation. The paper further discusses the potential benefits of IoT in improving water quality, reducing waste, and promoting the adoption of sustainable water practices at both household and industrial levels. The integration of IoT into water resource management is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring water security and fostering environmental stewardship.
